Congratulations to John and Miguel and thanks to Andrew for another memorable DVO! Our way back home was a bit of an adventure, partly for the usual NJ/NY traffic, partly for a series of (my) ..ehm, miscalculations. It took us 6 hrs, good lord! I promise, I'll never complain about GW Bridge ever again!

Delaware Valley Open Semi-Finals: Miguel Marques defeats Daniel Cranston: 1 – 0 After regulation and sudden death overtime, neither Daniel nor Miguel could dent the twine and a shootout was needed to settle the 0 – 0 score. When Daniel missed during the fifth round, Miguel was on his way to the final with a 2 – 1 victory in the shootout.
Paul Eyes defeats Massimo Conturso: 2 – 1
Christiana Cup Finals: John Rizos defeats Dewey LaRochelle: 1 – 0 It was a very hard fought final. Both players were deadlocked until the 27th minute when John was able to score and hold on for his first Christiana Cup.
Delaware Valley Open Finals: Miguel Marks defeats Paul Eyes: 2 – 1 Miguel opened the scoring at the 7th minute when a shot by Miguel was saved by Paul but the rebound went back to one of Miguel’s figures and he was able to bury the shot. Paul was able to level the score at the 18th minute, but Miguel was able to respond quickly. At the 20th minute, Paul made a save outside the keeper’s box resulting in an indirect free kick at the spot. Miguel was able to capitalize and never looked back capturing his first Delaware Valley Open Championship.

Sorry Daniel, I missed your post. I would suggest to wait until the end of the month for the Halloween Cup and the Georgia HS Open to be played, then do the rankings for October.
