Recent domestic and abroad events brought to the Board's attention the ASA membership question.
For the inclusive and grassroots nature of our association, the definition of ASA member can be a bit elusive. The ASA is an association by the players for the players, and provides the medium through which they can organize tournaments throughout the country. By participating in ASA events, the players then earn ASA Rankings points.
Therefore, two are the advantages of being an ASA member.
One, you become part of a large group of people who share your passion for this beautiful game.
Two, you become part of a nationwide rankings system which brings the excitement of competition.
All we ask is to be kind and respectful toward your fellow ASA members; and to introduce yourself by posting on this thread your name, location and whatever else you'd like to share with us.
Our Membership Director, Andrew Zunino will collect the data for future reference (elections or other communications) and to assist you in finding the closest club or to create your own.
