What do you do when a figure comes to rest either on or off the playing surface directly behind the goal? The handle from the keeper would knock into them if you left them in place. I couldn't seem to find an official ruling on this, so I was wondering how other people handle it. Thanks.

I believe you move the figure ahead just outside the "six yard" box. Make sure the figure doesn't touch the line though as that box is goalie territory.

Same thing if it comes to rest in the area [ outside the playing surface] adjacent to the six yard box, if I am not mistaken.

Is it similar when a flicked figure ends up inside the goal, that you would place it just outside the goal box?

Yes that is correct. You just move him straight out of the goal at the edge of the 6 yard box.
