Hello:
Many years ago I purchased a Subbuteo pitch and mounted it on wood and sadly it has been largely unused for many years as first school and then developing a career that has taken me all over the USA many times per year took precedence.
Now, I am down to the last two for a job of my dreams and finally in one place. So, I am considering bringing the pitch with me to where I go.
So, I have a few questions.
1. I would like to meet and play with others. So what brand of teams is it best to buy? Is there a standard these days? If I were to go along to a Subbuteo competition, what would the other players have. If someone can point me to reasonably priced teams with the kinds of bases most people use or can play against, I would appreciate it. I want to buy a couple of teams.
2. Can someone point me to some reasonably prices goals and balls. Do not mind old stuff, there.
3. Is it possible to obtain some kind of fence surround?
4. Is there anyone in the Cleveland, OH area who plays?
Thanks a lot!

Hi there! Glad to hear from you. Let's see.. Cleveland, OH. We have Steven Laskey in that (large) area. I haven't heard from him in a while, but I know he's fairly active in the Midwest along with the STL crew. If you have a Facebook account, you could try and contact him through his profile or the ASA group: www.facebook.com/groups/Americansubbuteo/ or his website: sites.google.com/site/queencitytsc/Meeting in person would of course be the best way to learn the new trends and products. However, when it comes to merchandise of any kind, new & old, the website of reference in the US is tablesoccerusa.com/ run by Paul Eyes from MD. He's extremely knowledgeable (much more than me!), very friendly and answers promptly to any inquiry. He's also a great recruiter so I'm sure he'd be delighted to hear from a new player. Good luck with everything and keep posting!

Hey my name is Jonathan Pace and I am in a similar situation. Just starting up really. I had always wanted to try out the game and so I finally bought myself an old set on eBay and another from astrobase.it Anyway, I am a new player and I don't have much knowledge about different brands of supplies. I have some soccer3d teams, and some old and some new subbuteo teams. I would be interested to know what is a good source for purchasing supplies? Tablesoccerusa seems to not be functioning and I've found astrobase.it and subbuteoworld.co.uk and then of course eBay, but I would really love not to have to ship products from Europe... Any suppliers in the USA? Also my brothers and I play, but I am just curious if there are any other players nearby or a club or anything I could join. I am from Salt Lake City, UT. Are there any other players nearby there? Thanks! Feel free to reply to this thread, or email me directly at pace.jonathan.m@gmail.com
