The Suncoast Subbuteo Club and the Tampa Bay Table Soccer Club is pleased to announce an ASA tournament in the Tampa Bay area on Sunday, March 24th, 2013, with friendlies available all day on Saturday the 23rd. The following players from the Tampa Bay area will be attending: Alex Batacchi Isabel Batacchi Matt Fox Daniel Louis Brandon Minton The tournament will be held at Alex's house if the turnout is 10 or under. If more than that plan on attending, we will look into renting a room for the tournament. If you think you may be able to make it down, please let us know so we can make arrangements to rent a room well in advance of the tournament. Regardless of the final location, Sunday's tournament will be held within 20 mins of the airport (TPA) and Brandon will be hosting friendlies near downtown St Petersburg on Saturday (about 30 mins from the airport, 15 mins from the beach!) Car rental may not necessary for those flying in. I'm sure between the 5 of us, we may be able to get you where you need to go. Weather averages in the mid to upper 70's in March so end your winter blues early and come flick with us!

I'll arrive two days before (in Fort Lauderdale) to see my parents in law and i never saw the Florida west coast. I might be interested to participate at this tournament. Meanwhile i can show you my Subbuteo ice hockey prototype game. I'll be in touch with you very soon to see if it's feasable with my wife. For more info, drop me a line at: canadatabletopgames@gmail.com

Hi Ben, I hope you can make it over for the tournament. I think it's about 4 hours to Tampa Bay from the Fort Lauderdale area.

Gents, the tournament is approved by the BoD Also, I will be attending ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Either I will be flying down or the family will be in tow. Some of you may already, know my wife's family is originally from Pinellas Park, so I know the territory a bit more than a regular tourist, lol.

will do my best to be there at time (depending of plane arrival and all the stuff with the family, i have to rent a car to drive from Fort lauderdale to Tampa which is about 3.5 - 4 hours). As for you Tom, yes i do remember that you're a lightning fan. As for the hockey game (which is very custom you'll see that in 2013 when i'll send you some pics), it is almost complete, just trying to get the perfect fit for the bases weight...chat to you soon Tom

The Bay Area is great as you will see if you have never been there. I am still a Lightning fan, but the longer this lockout drags on, the more fed-up I become.

I am going to try and make it down as well. Seems like it would be a blast plus the wife was wanting to visit the beach luckily she didn't specify which beach

Cool. We certainly have plenty of beaches to choose from. ..my favs have always been the ones south of Clearwater. not saying there's anything wrong with theirs, but I always enjoyed the less crowded ones.

Yeah, we always go to the smaller ones too. I like the beach for relaxing, not partying.

My vote would be Pas-a-grille or Treasure Island....or Fort DeSoto... or Sunset....
