Good evening.
I'm on my way to get a brand new Subbuteo set (will build a table to get my pitch permantely on the surface) and i would like to get some infos from players who plays alone (solitaire) do you have like a certain set of rules to make solitaire Subbuteo as realistic as possible. Any help would be very appreciated.
here's my e-mail: canadaminiaturefootball@yahoo.ca
Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

Hi Ben,
Since I have to practice by myself I have a set of rules I use. They are essentially all the same as tournament rules however, I will make two offensive flicks and one defensive. I alternate that way. Then I just use common reasonable judgement, example if I make an offensive flick and have to change the side of the table I will allow the defense a flick since time would allow for it. If I make an offensive flick behind the defense goal area (restricted) I play as normal and allow the defense a flick. I also take a little time to set up the goalkeeper to make the shot as difficult as possible, or I may use a training wall...... Hope that helps.

Allright so if i understand clearly: You have the ball (team A), then you do two offensive flicks, then the defense (team B) react with one only and when Team A loose possesion (missing the ball, hit another player, etc..) then this will be Team B (who regain the offensive possesion) who'll get two offensive flicks and Team A would have only one. Is that it?
Thanks for your response, have a good one.
Regards, Ben

That is it, start there and see how it goes.....have fun with it, and work on skills, passing, shooting and creating good chances.

Not part of the rules, but if you find someone that wants to play it that way, it's still a game, have fun with it.

I also wanted to add, there are many videos on you tube, including some very good instructional videos, this could help a lot in learning the rules and some other technical stuff.
