Dear members,
ASA Presidential nominations are now open until June 3, 2015. To nominate someone, or yourself, please submit an email to ASA Secretary Matt Fox, eckatofox@netscape.net You *must* be an ASA member to nominate or to nominate yourself. Non-member nominations will be discarded.
The criteria to be a candidate for President of the ASA is as follows:
The ASA President - The ASA President needs to be at least 21 years of age and either 1) Served a full term (2 years) as a VP, or 2) Have 5 continuous current years of ASA activity. The President will serve a two-year term beginning on the first day of the season of the odd numbered year. The function of the ASA President is as follows: § The ASA President handles the organization of all changes to the Bylaws. § The ASA President, or a designated constituent, must regularly be in touch with the members-at-large to report on the business of the Board. § The ASA President, or a designated constituent, is the representative to handle all inquires from other National Associations or FISTF. § The ASA President shall confirm all other ASA Chairpersons as nominated by members-at-large, or the ASA VPs.
