With the venue you all have setup it seems hard to go wrong! Great stuff though Mike, it is crazy how growth can suddenly just spike in an area and you wonder why it wasn't that easy beforehand.

A final hurdle has been removed from the Flicko de Mayo, which is on course to be the largest Subbuteo tournament ever held in Michigan and one of the largest in North America this season.
MiSTFA has been running 10 minute halves for some years and after returning to the ASA no consideration was made to the state's standard timing, and an ASA event was already held in January but without visitors from out of state. However, ASA rules state a minimum of 12 minute halves, preferably 15 (as is the international standard).
More and more clubs worldwide are switching to shorter halves to get as many games in as possible and introduce the game to more people. It is the de facto standard in Canada, including in Hamilton whose club is sending four representatives to our next event.
We are pleased to announce that the ASA has ratified our intention to play 10 minute halves for the Flicko de Mayo and will be amending the ASA rules to allow such timing in its events.
Our thanks to the ASA board for showing flexibility and progressiveness in coming to a quick decision which we hope will help others around the country.

That's ok. With the KPH to MPH conversion, I think they would have gotten 4 flicks to our 3. Or wait... is that the exchange rate I'm thinking of? I forget. I've been away from Detroit/Windsor too long...
